How can you sell my boat if you’re in Fort Lauderdale, Florida?

Once your listings are published, I start receiving calls & emails from boat buyers wanting more information.


This begins the conversation with them and is how, at the same time, I’m able to start qualifying them.


At this point, they’ll ask questions about the boat, they haven’t seen on your published listing…or haven’t read. 😉

Then, when a qualified buyer is ready to go see your boat, I’ll let you know…and you’ll tell me when to schedule their viewing.

*Note – I ALWAYS send them an Offer Form and encourage them to submit an offer on your boat (which can be subject to inspection, survey etc.) ahead of time.

What If The Buyer Needs Financing?

Being proactive is something I try to focus on, daily.


If someone isn’t a ‘cash buyer’ for your boat, I put them in touch with a professional marine finance lender and encourage them to get pre-approved before even mentioning this buyer to you, (in most cases).


That being said, I’ve sold millions worth of yachts and boats since last Spring and have only had deals that involved financing. 

Almost everyone who buys boats from me…has been a ‘cash buyer.

What about surveys and sea trials?

Your boat will be under contract with a buyer before a survey and/or sea trial (or lake test) is scheduled. Your time is very valuable and at time of writing this, I currently have SIX vessels under contract across the country, in various stages of survey, sea trial, inspection and in one case…financing.

How do you know if a buyer is qualified?

Great question.
